Artists in the 2026 Season
Anton Rist, clarinet
Anton Rist was appointed principal clarinetist of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra in 2016. He has performed as principal clarinet with the NY Philharmonic, the Grant Park Festival Orchestra, the Orchestra of St. Luke’s, and the American Ballet Theater, and has appeared as soloist with the Mainly Mozart Festival Orchestra, the Cheyenne Symphony, and the Knoxville Symphony. In addition, Anton performs regularly as part of the MET Orchestra Chamber Series, as well as at major festivals throughout the US, Europe, and Asia. He has performed and taught at the Pacific Music Festival, the Colorado College Summer Music Festival, the Hidden Valley Festival of Winds, Festival Mozaic, and the St. Barts Music Festival. Anton teaches at The Juilliard Pre-College and MAP divisions. He received two degrees from The Juilliard School, where he studied with Jon Manasse. Additional major teachers were Jo-Ann Sternberg and Larry Guy.
